All-On-4 uses fewer implants strategically placed for immediate full arch reconstruction while traditional implants replace each tooth individually.
Ideal candidates have adequate bone density in the jaw but insufficient bone for individual implants. People with ill-fitting dentures are good candidates. Those with unhealthy gums or bone disease may not qualify.
The All-On-4 procedure itself takes 2-3 hours for the full arch rehabilitation under general anesthesia or IV sedation. Post-op recovery takes about 2 weeks.
There is usually some swelling and discomfort for up to 1 week after the procedure. A temporary denture is placed immediately. Final permanent bridge placement is 4-6 months later.
Practice excellent oral hygiene with brushing, flossing and regular dental visits. Avoid hard, crunchy foods. Get any implant complications evaluated promptly. Use any provided denture care products.
